Day 44 Wednesday 7th Habitat Noosa Everglades Eco Camp, From Busy Eumundi Markets to a Peaceful Eco Camp

We were leaving our Noosa caravan park this morning but only had a very short journey to our next stop, the Eco Camp, located on the shores of Lake Cootharaba and also the place where we set out for our Everglades Tour several days ago, with Pat. As we had plenty of time we decided to vacate our site in the Noosa Caravan Park, leave our caravan out on the street and then head to the famous Eumundi Markets. The markets are only on Sat. and Wed from 8am to 2pm. To our surprise, once we arrived at the markets, things were surprisingly busy considering it was a Wednesday! There were people everywhere! We managed to find a reasonable carpark before heading to the huge market area. We enjoyed perusing the various stalls and did manage to make a few purchases of locally produced goods. The markets are so extensive, that it took us a couple of hours to wander around. Rob stopped for a delicious pie (to fill in time while I shopped) and we both had a coffee later in the morning. We returned to pick up the caravan from Noosa. Our drive to the Habitat Noosa Everglades Eco Camp was pretty easy except for the last two kilometres where we had to be a little careful as the dirt road into the park had a few pot-holes which we tried to avoid. We set up and enjoyed a lazy afternoon walking and exploring this beautiful park. Many people from overseas stay here as the attraction is the plethora of wildlife. Kangaroos are everywhere, monitors or goannas are out walking enjoying the sun and of course the bird-life is also prolific.
