This morning, I was going to kayak in the morning and meet Rob and Pat at a café for brunch. This seemed like a great idea at the time but my kayak ended up being a very long kayak and brunch was closer to lunch! I set off and Pat and Rob returned to the caravan park so Pat could finish packing and check out. Rob and Pat then went to find a café for brunch somewhere close to the river, where I could just hop out of the kayak and join them. After kayaking for an hour or so Rob sent me a message with the location of the café we were to meet at. I looked at it on google maps and realised that it was a long way from where I was. I sent a message back that it may take me a little while as I had a long way to go. Anyway I had been kayaking for close to two hours when Rob called me and said where was I? I explained where I was heading, according to the location Rob had sent me and he then said that that wasn’t the café where Pat and he were waiting. Not sure what happened but Rob is blaming google maps for the mix up……..Anyway, I started kayaking all the way back to where the café was and finally met up with them!!! We enjoyed our very late brunch together and then headed to a lovely park near the mouth of the River where it goes out to sea with the surf beach nearby. The Noosa lookout was next on our list but unfortunately the weather was not with us and the grey sky and light rain did not enhance the view. From here we drove to the retail centre of Noosa, Hastings Street. The busy street was full of people shopping and eating in the many retail outlets, restaurants etc. We enjoyed wandering along the street although we didn’t make any purchases. From here we started heading down the coast to take Pat to the Sunshine Coast Airport. We called in at the Coolum Beach Surf Lifesaving Club for an afternoon drink, before going for another short walk along the coast. We enjoyed watching the brave swimmers in the water and the surfers. Following this, we finally took Pat to the airport and sadly said goodbye to her. It was lovely seeing her again after not seeing her for a quite a few weeks. Noosa, Noosa, Noosa,
