Another clear beautiful day greeted us this morning. Today we were heading down to the Sunshine Coast Airport to collect our dear friend, Pat who had flown from Adelaide to join us in Noosa for a few days. This was all done easily and after picking Pat up from the airport we headed inland to the Glasshouse Mountains area. We stopped at a lovely, little café, The Lookout Café, for lunch. When we arrived (around 1.30pm) the carpark was full but by the time we left it was empty as the kitchen closed at 2pm. We all sat out on the covered deck and enjoyed our lunch overlooking some of the magnificent Glasshouse Mountains. The mountains are the remnant volcanic plugs and they tower up spectacularly over the surrounding area. Following lunch, we went for a lovely scenic drive visiting various lookouts and finishing in the quaint, rural town of Maleny. Here we went for a walk and visited various art and craft shops and galleries. We returned to our accommodation in Noosa. Pat had booked a cabin in the caravan park and luckily it was next to a large BBQ so Rob made use of this and we enjoyed a lovely BBQ dinner with her.
